...From Soul Calibur II. That would be one one of Taki's "Stalker" series of moves, so she's about 15 feet or so off the ground. The combination of overhead perspective and foreshortening was kind of tricky, though the angle's pretty flexible since Taki flips around in the air. I'm pretty satisfied with the technical aspect of this one overall-- I hope to have just as much success with future experimental pieces.
Wow, nice work on this ^^ Great job with perspective and other lil technicals, it turned out really well ^^ I love how you've textured the walls and the ground, really suits the colouring of the characters and doesn't look out of place. Excellent work! ^^
Sweet work man. I cannot tell you how much you've improved over these 2 short years since I first met you.
Great use of colors -- I'll indulge in point out that it's as muted as I like . There's much consistency in the color use (the gray, the brown, and the red) no extreme areas of value or saturation contrast to disrupt the flow. At the same time, the green on the background keeps it interesting.
One of my major problems with your early CGs is your texture use. The texture is totally appropriate on this one. They're clean and simple, not too complicated and not ridden by overwrought linework. Really, the only part I can disgree with is the trees (might need a bit more definition) and the subject choice (don't particularly connect with the game. Haha, no fault on your part).
Good luck on your apps, BTW. I've also just taken the SATs. I dunno, how far along are you? Since we're both from Cali and we both focus in the arts, we might even end up in the same college .

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This is YOUR opportunity to mock, ridicule and generally take great delight and amusement whilst poking fun at the beloved Volunteers and Staff of deviantART.
